Abstract

This work describes a practical novel technique for the simultaneous measurement of salbutamol sulphate
and beclomethasone dipropionate with little sample pretreatment. The process has been assessed using the
partial least squares method (based on the SIMPLS algorithm) and multivariate analysis of spectral data
in the 220–260 nm band. The root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) and coefficient of
determination (R2) are used to evaluate the calibration model. While the RMSEC values (0.8637) obtained
were relatively low, indicating acceptable precision of the analytical method,
