Abstract

In contemporary medicinal chemistry, multi-component reactions (MCRs) are potent instruments that facilitate lead generation by providing easy access to vast libraries of structurally related, drug-like molecules. Therefore, in recent years, such reactions have become an increasingly valuable approach to drug discovery efforts when paired with the use of combinatorial chemistry and high-throughput parallel synthesis [1]. Additionally, because a one-pot reaction can be carried out without the intermediates being isolated and without releasing any functional groups in a brief reaction time, it is the most appropriate technique for the synthesis of functionalized organic molecules [2]. The goal of many medication development strategies was to affect several targets simultaneously.
