Abstract

In the majority of developing nations, diarrhea is a leading cause of hospitalization for children and even
older adults, and it is responsible for approximately 5 million fatalities per year [1]. Increased frequency,
fluidity, and three or more daily bowel movements, together with oxidative stress and an inflammatory
response, are its defining characteristics [2, 3]. It arises from an imbalance in the gut's secretory and
absorptive physiologies of water and electrolytes, which can be brought on by helminths, toxins, food,
allergies, and microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and fungus) [4].
