The Inverted Exponentiated Weibull (IEW) distribution is extended in a new way by using the generator Alpha
Power (AP) transformation. Several sub-models are included into the final extended distribution, which is called the Alpha
Power Inverted Exponentiated Weibull (APIEW) distribution. All the statistical properties of the new distribution,
including the hazard rate, mean residual life, mean inactivity time, quantile, moments, Rényi entropy, and order statistics,
are computed. The maximum likelihood estimation method is used to estimate the unknown parameters of the proposed
distribution. Next, two sets of application data are used to show how the model may be adjusted
